Tapak Sulaiman

tapak sulaiman.jpg (10372 bytes) A creeper with pink flowers and heart-shaped leaves covered in fine hair, this plant is known as Tapak Sulaiman (Solomon's sole) in Malaysia. A decoction made from the leaves and roots is used as treatment for malaria. The roots are said to be the  most potent part of the plant. The leaves are often added to bath water for a refreshing, relaxing dip. The plant has also been used for the treatment of stomach-ache.
