NONI "MIRACLE" HERBAL FRUIT
Noni (mengkudu) is identifiable by its straight trunk, large, bright green and elliptical leaves, white tubular flower and its distinctive," grenade-like" yellow fruit. Noni fruit can grow to 12cm (4.7) or more and has a lumpy surface covered by polygonalshaped sections, resembling a small breadfruit. It turns yellow when ripe and has a strong pungent odour and taste.
The Noni plant is native to Asia, Australia and some Pacific Islands and was brought to Hawaii as an herbal plant by early Polynesians.

" Mengkudu " used by Malaysia for generation
Kuala Terengganu:The Mengkudu plant or Morinda citrifolia, has been used by the Malay community to treat illnesses for generation.
A Villager at paka, kamaman, Mohd Ayob Muda, 21, said his grandparents had taught his family the medicinal value of the mengkudu leaves.
" I boil the leaves for my mother and she drink the extract to lower her blood pressure," said the Tenaga Nasional Technician.
He said he also advised his friend Zamri Ismail, 23, to drink the extract when he complained about muscular pain. His friend told him that it worked.
The mengkudu plant can be found growing wild in the backyard of houses and along beaches in the state.
A housewife at Kampung Labuan Kertih, Tuan Som Tuan Junoh, 52, who is developing a farm planting mengkudu trees on 0.8 ha of land, said it was a profitable venture.
She said many from Dungun and Kemaman visited her to buy the leaves and fruits for medication.
